Origins Radio Network
#MelancholyMarionette

Welcome back to the show! My name is Vibravo Maximum, and this, is Origins Radio Network: the only series currently that has a set schedule. I’m busy preparing for couples month, and I’ve got a killer lineup next month, with a whole bunch of famous couples. But I digress. Tonight’s show theme is a spooky one. It’s Puppet Horror. And with that said, let’s get started!

My guest tonight is the creepy puppet from the Horror Zone. He’s the second in command for Haunted Doom’s villainous gang. Believe it or not, he’s actually pretty skilled in demolition and hat-making, if that’s actually a skill. Please welcome to the show Melancholy!
Vibravo: Welcome to the show, Melancholy. It’s good to have you on.
Melancholy: Thank you, my man. I did get your letter prior to my arrival stating what I can and cannot say.
Vibravo: Well, hopefully you read it.
Melancholy: I did…briefly. I just don’t understand why you had to send it to me though. I’m pretty sure No-name or Lustrous and Luminous did not get this crap.
Vibravo: Everyone receives the letter prior to being on the show. The only difference here is that many of the items on the letter pertain to you.
Melancholy: Fair enough.
Vibravo: Anyway, you’ve appeared in a quite a few series, both you and Haunted Doom. And that’s amazing considering the fact that your series hasn’t been active since 2011.
Melancholy: I thought there’d be a sequel, but year-after year, nothing occurs. It’s at the point now where I’m not even expecting anything cool.
Vibravo: Would you rather there be a sequel, or do you enjoy appearing in other series?
Melancholy: Me personally? I’d much we just appear here and there in these random series. Honestly, the first story was hard enough. But it’s not up to me. It’s Haunted Doom’s decision, and I’m willing to bet that n**ga would for sure opt for a new entry.
Vibravo: Well, new stories are always nice. So, I also don’t here much about Dark Maiden. What’s the deal with her? Is she even a viable ally?
Melancholy: She’s alright. I find it weird how Haunted Doom is still an ass to her. Whatever, I guess it’s his character.
Vibravo: Are you looking for a girlfriend, or do you have one already?
Melancholy: I don’t really care for a bitch by my side, really. I’d much rather prefer one of those slutty girls. But that’s just me.
Vibravo: You’re getting very close to the boundaries of the letter.
Melancholy: Chill, dude.
Vibravo: So, next up, I’d like to discuss you a bit more in detail. You’re a skilled hat-maker, as well as an expert in demolition. So, how the heck did you end up as a world-class gangster?
Melancholy: I don’t know. I was in jail at the time, waiting to be transported to the prison, but then Haunted Doom was thrown into my cell, and he seemed rather intriguing to me, so I tagged along with him.
Vibravo: You and Haunted Doom seem to make a pretty good duo. I would say it rivals that of Turbo and Nitro, or even Mindstar and Stellarlite.
Melancholy: Well, I’d like to think we’re pretty tight as a gang.
Vibravo: Who would you say your favorite and least favorite characters are?
Melancholy: I like Boom. He’s pretty cool. And I think Incande’s pretty cute. I’d totally bone her. As for least favorite, I’m not a fan of Torture Droid’s seriousness, or Necria’s randomness. Stupid bitch.
Vibravo: And, now you’ve crossed the boundaries.
Melancholy: Whatever.
Vibravo: Well, I think we’re just about done here. Anything else you’d like to mention before we finish up here?
Melancholy: Go check out Puppet Horror. It’s way better than all of those other dumb series.
Vibravo: Sure. Well, thanks for coming on the show, Melancholy. I hope to see you again.
Melancholy: For sure. See ya.

Up next on the show, I will be going over the multi-jumping mechanic in Nightmare Realm. This is a useful ability, and it makes certain characters much, much more maneuverable. And with that said, let’s begin.
So, multi-jumping is basically the equivalent to flying. Just like in Smash Bros., only certain characters can multi-jump. Usually, it is reserved for the flying types, but there are a few characters that make an exception. Below is a list of characters who can multi-jump, as well as how many additional jumps they can do (keep in mind, every character can jump twice, so the number after their name is how many additional jumps they get. Example: Dusk has a “2” next to her name, so she gets two additional jumps, for a total of four jumps).
Meta-Bat - 2
Armagon – 3
Shadow Eyes - 2
Dusk – 2
Murky – 2
Lustrous – 4
Luminous – 4
Flamethrower – 2
Universa – 3
Nitro – 1
Haunted Doom – 1
Melancholy – 1
Wavianne – 4
Stygia – 4
Malicia – 4
Espionage – 1
Eric (Spinner Droid, Jet Droid) – 2
Phoebe (Executor, Parakite, Armored Helicopter) – 2, 4, 3
Omega – 1
Alpha – 1
Terra Techno – 2
Mindstar – 2
Stellarlite – 1
Klader – 1
Zamarinae – 1
Orabia – 1
Flamedia – 1
Ryne – 3
Essence – 2
Aurora, Auroranaut, Mega Aurora – 3, 2, 4
Incande – 3
Enchanta – 3
Vanillia – 3
Sorbeta – 3
Bittersweet – 3
Boom – 4

So, yeah, that’s everyone that can multi-jump. I have no idea why characters like Nitro and Espionage can mutli-jump. Whatever. Do what you want, I suppose.

And finally, for our “Ally of the Week”, we’ll cover Melancholy, the most balanced character of the game. Why is that you may ask? Well, Melancholy literally has everything. He’s another one of those “jack-of-all-trades” characters. Isn’t that supposed to be a good thing, you may ask? Well, yeah…it’s supposed to be…
Melancholy is plagued by literally sucking in most every stat possible. His attack stat is below average, and his defense is terrible. Plus, to make things worse for him, he’s a slow, light, and overall weaker version of Haunted Doom. So, why isn’t Melancholy the worse character in existence? I’ll tell you why. Melancholy has everything.
That’s right. Unlike Haunted Doom, Melancholy can be used in any play style. He has grenade and gun projectiles, allowing him to space. He’s got daggers and melee attacks, allowing him to close-combat. He’s even got evasion and defense tactics, allowing him to take hits. Sure, he’s not the best at any of those strategies, but it changes up his play style, and in the bigger picture, it means that you will never know which one a Melancholy player will use…be prepared for anything!
And let’s not forget Melancholy’s subpar Mega Ability. It detonates a massive bomb on the arena, damaging anyone in the blast radius. Sure, it’s handy for limiting space, but it really have the usefulness that it should. Luckily, his Special Ability is better. It’s not great, but it sure gets the job done. It basically ensures that a strong hit will not kill him. What defines a strong hit? I don’t know yet. Rest assure though…it’s useful.
Special Ability: Melancholic
Mega Ability: Puppet Bomber

And that concludes today’s episode. Tune in next week for another exciting episode of ORN. It’ll be great, as always. Vibravo signing out!
A new episode of ORN is up. Vibravo interviews the main ally for Puppet Horror: Melancholy. He does an in-depth explanation of the multi-jump mechanic in Nightmare Realm. Finally, he does the "Ally of the Week", featuring Melancholy.
