Party of Champions 6
Globe’s Dilemma

Globe’s hideout was in actuality just a small room in the back of an alley. There were three other younger kids sitting around her, sharpening what appeared to be wooden knives. They smiled as she returned, but gave suspicious looks to Yogurt and Domino.
“I’m back!” Globe replied.
“Who are they?” they pointed with their knives at Yogurt and Domino. “Prisoners?”
“No,” Globe shook her head. “They’re visitors, and they needed a temporary place to stay.”
Yogurt waved to them all. “Hi there!”
The kids immediately warmed up to them. “Hi.”
“My name’s Yogurt.” He introduced himself. “I’m a goo-man.”
“What does that mean?”
Yogurt smirked. “I’ll show you.” He raised his arm and transformed it into pink goo. The kids fell backwards, startled. Yogurt smashed his fist into the ground, and pink goo splattered everywhere.
Domino wiped herself clean. “Gross…”
The kids clapped. “That’s cool!”
Yogurt grinned. “Thank you.”
Globe motioned to the three of them. “How did the patrol go?”
“No crimes.”
“Good.”
The kids nodded. “Well, we’re gonna go leave for dinner. We’ll see you tomorrow, Globe!”
“Bye!” Globe smiled. The four kids, including the one Yogurt and Domino encountered earlier, all left, leaving only the three characters who’ve been given names thus far.
Yogurt turned to Globe. “All right, so let’s get down to the details.”
“What details?”
“The ones in which you join my team!”
Globe growled. “I already told you that I’m not interested.”
Yogurt ignored her. “Hmm, let’s see…all we need now is a ship owner, and then we can finally leave this place.”
“Hello?” Globe growled. “I already told you I don’t want to join.”
“Why not?”
“I have obligations here.” Globe replied.
“Like what?”
Globe looked away. “There are criminals here that need to be taught justice, and I need to oversee that.”
Domino frowned. “Well, why can’t the kids do that?”
“I need to be there for them.” Globe sighed.
“Wait they left for dinner.” Yogurt pointed out. “How come you aren’t doing the same?”
“Because I have no family to go have dinner with.” Globe shouted angrily. “That’s why!”
She began to tear up. Domino wrapped an arm around her shoulder for comfort. “It’s all right.”
Globe grimaced in pain. “No, it’s not! Everyday, I have to watch the kids go back to their parents and be happy, while I stay here, crying myself to sleep because I have no one to call friends or family. I just watch over the kids during the day.”
Yogurt knelt down and glanced at her straight in the eyes. He took off his hat and placed it on her head. “I consider you a friend.”
She wiped her face and looked at him. “How? You just met me…”
“And?”
Globe muttered. “You can’t be friends with someone you just met.”
“Of course I can.” Yogurt smiled. “You’re my navigator. I’m not gonna invite people who I do not regard as my friend.”
“I already told you…I don’t want to go.”
“And I’m not taking ‘no’ for an answer!” declared Yogurt. “You’re going to be our navigator and that’s that.”
Globe giggled. “You really want me to be your navigator.”
“Of course!” Yogurt grinned. “Domino failed that criteria-”
“Hey!” she cried. “Shut up!”
Yogurt chuckled. “So, you’re going to help me become the strongest fighter in the universe!”
“What’s in it for me?” asked Globe.
“Well, you will get the satisfaction of helping the greatest fighter in the universe.” Yogurt smiled.
Globe looked confused, so Domino stepped in. “If you help us, we’ll take you around the universe so you can chart your maps.”
Her eyes lit up. “Really? We can do that?”
Yogurt nodded. “Of course. We’ll travel the universe and find a whole bunch of strong enemies to defeat. And then, when I’m ready, I will eventually meet up with the strongest fighter in the world, wherever he or she is.”
“You’d do that for me?”
“Well, it’s not really for you…” grumbled Yogurt. “Let’s not forget the original goal at hand, but I will surely make sure your dream does not go unresolved.”
Globe rushed forward and hugged Yogurt tightly. “Oh, thank you!”
Yogurt smiled. “Of course! What are friends for?”
Globe grinned. “So, are we ready to set off?”
“Now?” Yogurt asked. “We just got here!”
“I’d like to go shopping some more.” Replied Domino.
“You want to buy more clothes?” cried Yogurt.
Domino grumbled. “No, I’m just going to get a puzzle for the journey.”
“Why?”
“Do you know how boring it was walking from Rai to Tropica?” she cried. “It was so boring! I literally almost died of boredom, if that’s even a thing.”
Globe giggled. “We can go shopping now, and then leave right after that?”
“It’s dark outside though.” Domino commented.
“So what?” Globe smiled. She stood up and put her hands on her hips. “My map of the universe isn’t going to draw itself…and me sitting around doing nothing isn’t going to change anything!”
Yogurt laughed. “I like her. We should go now!”
Domino grumbled. “No, let’s get some sleep first. I’m tired.”
Globe nodded. “We can sleep on these mats until morning.”
“Perfect!” Yogurt smiled. “We don’t even need to pay for a hotel!”
Globe smiled. “Make yourself at home!”
Globe introduces Yogurt and Domino to her small group of vigilantes, and is offered by Yogurt to join the party.
