The Next
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
This is perhaps the biggest and best game we’ve ever done on The Next. That’s right. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is finally out, and it doesn’t disappoint. With all new exciting modes like 8-Player Smash and Smash Tour, it is sure to be one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. And this is no ordinary episode either. In addition to Paxton and I, we have brought four additional guests onto the show with us. First, as you may all remember, we’ve brought Kat Laguna, Paxton’s wife. Then, coming from Corona Core, we have special guest Corona, who is apparently an avid video game fan! Well great! And finally, from the series Life as a Princess and Origins Radio Network, we have Yaleia and Vibravo Maximum, respectively. Oh, I can’t wait for this to go down! Today on the next, the six of us will be trying out the incredible 8-Player Smash mode!
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U – 8 Player Smash: 5 Stock Match (Round 1)
Skyler: Welcome all. This is going to be a fantastic episode. Never before have so many guests appeared on the show at one point.
Paxton: Shall we get this started then?
All: Yeah!
Kat: Oh my god, look at all the characters! I love it!
Skyler: All right, everybody. We’ll be doing a 5-stock match, so everybody choose a character.
Corona: I think I’ll go with my man Link. That guy is so hot! He’s the absolute greatest!
Paxton: I’m going with Mega Man. He’s a fan favorite, and his moves are just phenomenal.
Kat: Oh, I have to be Rosalina. Look at how cute the Luma is, Paxton! It’s so cute!
Vibravo: Hmm…I think I’ll be Lucario. I’ve always liked how he looked and played.
Yaleia: Oh, I don’t know who to pick, Vibravo.
Skyler: Well, Yaleia. To be honest, I was incredibly surprised when you replied to my invitation. I didn’t think you’d want to play.
Yaleia: I don’t like video games, but I agreed to come down here because Vibravo would really appreciate it.
Skyler: Well, I appreciate it.
Yaleia: Who’s good? Any suggestions?
Paxton: They’re all good in general. Except Donkey Kong.
Yaleia: What’s wrong with Donkey Kong?
Paxton: He sucks.
Yaleia: Well, I guess I’ll pick Mario, since he’s the only character I actually know. Plus, everybody loves Mario.
Skyler: Well great! I think I’ll pick Bowser Jr. He’s clowning the competition! Alright everybody. We are about to take it to the Great Cave Offensive. This is one of my favorite stages.
Vibravo: The lava is really cool, in my personal opinion.
Kat: Paxton, I’m scared!
Corona: Where’s Link, I can’t see him.
Yaleia: Vibravo, who are you again?
Vibravo: Lucario. The blue fox-looking Pokémon.
Yaleia: Okay, I’ll go after you.
Skyler: Oh, this is going to be deadly. It’s an all-out war.
Corona: Oh, damn. I’m not doing so well.
Skyler: Neither am I. Bowser Jr.! No!
Yaleia: Mario seems really good. C’mon, Lucario! Fight back!
Vibravo: My aura isn’t built up yet.
Kat: Oh no! My Luma died!
Paxton: Oh darn. Mega Man is out.
Skyler: What? Already? How did this happen?
Kat: No, I died too!
Corona: Let’s move it Link.
Yaleia: Oh no…I died too.
Vibravo: You don’t sound too upset.
Yaleia: Hmm…
Corona: I’m out too. Damn.
Skyler: It’s just you and me now, Vibravo. Can you beat me?
Vibravo: Of course. Bowser Jr. is terrible!
Skyler: We’ll see about that.
Vibravo: Uh oh. Smart Bomb just hit me! Oh my god! I lost!
Skyler: I won!
Yaleia: Vibravo…how did you lose?
Vibravo: I blew up.
Paxton: Well, you beat us.
Skyler: Of course they beat you, Paxton. You suck.
Kat: Yeah, Paxton.
Paxton: Quiet, you…
8-Player Smash: 5 Stock (Round 2)
Skyler: Alright, then. In this match, we will all be on teams of two. Any preferences?
Yaleia: I wanna be on Vibravo’s team.
Vibravo: Of course!
Kat: I’ll be on Paxton’s team.
Skyler: Corona, you and I can be on a team then.
Corona: For sure!
Vibravo: We’ll win for sure! Yaleia and I are a great team!
Yaleia: I don’t know how to play though, so I’ll just sit in the corner and use fireballs or something.
Skyler: Okay everyone, pick your characters.
Corona: I’ll have to be Pit. He’s just as cool as Link, and he’s got such a cool Final Smash.
Paxton: I’ll be Sheik. She’s a really strong character.
Skyler: I’ll have to pick Duck Hunt. I really like his character.
Kat: Oh, umm…let me be Peach. She’s really cute too!
Yaleia: Vibravo, be a woman character.
Vibravo: Why?
Yaleia: So it’ll be funny.
Vibravo: Fine. I’ll pick Zero Suit Samus, and I’ll put her in the nice blue training bra and shorts. Look at that gorgeous woman!
Yaleia: You pervert.
Skyler: It’s all right. That’s what she wears in the actual game.
Yaleia: Whatever. I’ll be Princess Zelda. She’s taking a break from having sex with Link, I guess.
Skyler: Cool! Now, Corona and I will be the Red Team. Paxton and Kat will be the Blue Team, and Vibravo and Yaleia shall be the Green Team. As for the Yellow Team, we’ll have two Amiibo characters as Mario and Link.
Paxton: Sounds good.
Skyler: All right, everybody. We will be doing an Omega Mode version of Mushroom Kingdom U. Let’s go!
Paxton: No Nabbit?
Kat: I don’t like Nabbit.
Skyler: Get out of my way, Pit! Move it Peach!
Vibravo: Oh, Link is trying really hard to kill me.
Yaleia: How do I shoot fireballs?
Skyler: Side B.
Vibravo: Watch out. Don’t hit me.
Yaleia: Sorry.
Paxton: You two are on a team. There’s no friendly fire.
Yaleia: Oh, good. So, shut up, Vibravo.
Corona: Umm, Skyler? I need some help over here. Mario is killing me.
Kat: Paxton! I got a Smash Ball.
Paxton: Use it!
Kat: Oh, cool! Everybody fell asleep!
Corona: Ouch! Mario killed me. I’m out.
Skyler: Already? Borrow one of my lives. Press A and B together.
Paxton: Oh, I’m dead.
Kat: Me too! Mario killed me.
Skyler: I died too…to Link.
Vibravo: Yaleia, how are you holding up?
Yaleia: I’m alright. I’m just using all these strange spells. I seem to be doing something different each time. It’s very inconsistent.
Vibravo: Well, then stop mashing buttons!
Corona: I’m dead too!
Skyler: Now it’s up to Vibravo and Yaleia. Can they win?
Vibravo: Luckily, Zero Suit Samus is a really good character. Her Down-Special is godlike.
Paxton: Nice, you beat Link!
Skyler: Just stay alive and fight Mario.
Yaleia: Vibravo, I don’t know what I’m doing…
Vibravo: Just don’t die.
Kat: Hey, they beat the Amiibos!
Corona: Nice job, guys!
Vibravo: Thank you, although I did all the work.
Yaleia: How rude. I stayed alive too.
Vibravo: You’re right. I’m sorry.
Skyler: Well, guys. That was Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. It’s out now for $59.99 USD, and it’s really fun.
Paxton: Mmhmm, I agree.

The first entry for 2015...is an installment of The Next. Okay, I guess that's cool. I've been told that this was supposedly to be released in December, but it got pushed back. Cool. I like this episode though, so it's worth it.
